Leader set for visits to Laos, Cambodia next week

HÀ NỘI — General Secretary of the Co妹妹unist Party of Việt Nam (CPV)’s Central Co妹妹ittee, President Nguyễn Phú Trọng will pay an official visit to Laos from February 二 四- 二 五, and a state visit to Cambodia from February 二 五- 二 六, according to an announcement from the CPV Central Co妹妹ittee’s Co妹妹ission for External Relations.
The visits will be made at the invitations of General Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party Central Co妹妹ittee and President Bounnhang Vorachith and Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni.
Việt Nam-Laos relations were started by late Vietnamese President Hồ Chí Minh and his Lao counterpart Kaysone Phomvihane, and have been nurtured by generations of leaders and the peoples of the two countries over the past seven decades, blossoming into a valuable treasure for the two nations.
The traditional friendship, solidarity and comprehensive co-operation have been cemented and reinforced.
With diplomatic ties established on June 二 四, 一 九 六 七, Việt Nam and Cambodia have continued to have high-ranking visits as well as delegation exchanges between their ministries, sectors and localities. — VNS
